THE COACH AND LEARNING DEVELOPMENT WORKER of the GCC will be an
experienced and highly organised person to support the Care Team to
grow an exciting start-up mission focused organisation. You will be
joining a one year old organisation at a critical point in its growth.
The coach and learning development role is a capacity building role,
you will inspire and facilitate the learning of carers working in a
self manged team. This involves working closely with the manager,
board of directors, carers and project partners to develop and
coordinate the carers learning programme.
We are looking for someone who has a care background, and is
passionate about improving home care in Ireland, someone who thrives
working in a fast paced, dynamic and innovative environment, is a
problem solver and who is committed to values of inclusion and
participation and a worker cooperative business model.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Development and coordination of learning programme for care teams
within the Great Care Co-op (GCC) framework, collaborating with
multiple stakeholders
* Supporting carers to work in a self-managed environment and to use
the solution focussed methodology
* Supporting care teams and individuals to identify and achieve
their team goals
* Facilitating training and learning programmes
* Facilitating conflict resolution to overcome team challenges while
adhering the GCC principles and framework
* Guardian and ambassador of the GCC framework internally
* Coordinating quality assurance for care services
* Supporting inductions and on boarding new carers
* Liaising with Manager and team to identify and implement training
and learning
* Produce reports required by funders, ensure compliance with funder
data management requirements
* Input data in compliance with funder requirements and GDPR
* Engage in networking activities and support the development of
external strategic relationships
* Prepare reports and written materials relevant to the work of GCC
and funders
* Health and Safety Representative for the GCC ensure that all
training and learning are up to date
* Ensure compliance with HSE and national requirements
* Participate on the Safety and Quality committee, prepare minutes
and input to ensure good standards are met in health and safety and
other statutory and GCC training requirements
* Support Safeguarding ethos in GCC and ensure compliance with
legislative requirements
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* Minimum 4 years? experience in healthcare sector, coordinator/
supervisory role, solid understanding of patient safety and person
centred care.
* Qualification in healthcare. Minimum QQI level 5 in Health Care
Supports
* Experience working in a diverse and multicultural settings
* Experience delivering training and learning development
* Excellent facilitation skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work well under
pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
* Ability to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and adaptable work
approaches
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills ? written and oral
* Commitment to social justice, anti-racism and equality
* Ability to work comfortably with Word, Microsoft, OneTouch
healthcare software and G-suite
